Kinetic Energy Demonstrated with Crashing Spheres | Arbor Scientific
Newton's Cradle illustrates for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Thus, when one sphere is swung out and released, one is "kicked" out the other side, two when two spheres are released, and so on. But what happens when two large, Colliding Steel Spheres are smashed together? Watch this video to find out.

Very nice. great intro about the standard 3 parts of electricity and putting resistance last of the triumvirate, or downplaying resistance. Sticking to volts and amps seems easier. Resistance, seems to be just whatever material or distance. Or current is always some function of Resistance. This seems to focus on getting the power concept, invisible power of electricity, down first, then has a good footing for future lessons about the distribution of electricity which factors in the resistance concept, distance and material and temperature. I got sidetracked about Electricity, is Alternating current, kind of like a way to reduce friction in a water pipe by rotating the tube with fingers. I know HVAC flows better in spiral tubes. I'm still trying to understand what AC is, and how power wants to potentially balance itself, even when it's constantly switching direction. maybe direction is not the way to think of AC, like you said, electrons are already there.

they did not save the tree but cloned it. apple trees don't often live past 100 years and 150 is their limit on this mortal coil. but careful grafting can preserve the legacy of one of humanity's treasures. so i choose to believe that the offspring of newton's tree lives on.

Can we take example trough a ruler as I thought. Is it correct? "First we will have to take a ruler on the table or any surface. With on of the finger pressing its corner gently then from the other side pushing the ruler. This will bend the ruler. So we can say the corner we pressed is the part of light wave which first entered denser medium and became slower and the other side of ruler is the part of light wave that is still in rarer medium and traveling with larger speed than the other medium. So as a result the light bent."

Yes a visual representation of electron flow is extremely helpful when teaching electricity basics and I would - okay might - use this for explaining very basic electricity to Cub Scouts or young Boy/Girl Scouts, 4H, studying for their Merit Badge. This is a decent demo unit but certainly not a "great" demo device. And claiming a bottle of Air Soft BBs are "Special Beads" is, silly, misleading, and borderline shyster.

NOT a "great" demo. Voltage analogy is okay. Current aspect is poor. The flow of beads does depend on the difference in heights of the ends, but what about the resistance? How do you vary the "resistance" with this device? The device does NOT show the difference between a lightning bolt and a taser - the beads have the same speed because the tube ends are in the same positions. The device shows that the speed of the beads is about the same, but for a lightning strike, a better device would show MORE beads flowing! Perhaps the demo could be improved with a variable width track. Use the full width of the track for a low resistance, and only a small width for a higher resistance. Buzz did tell us that the wire is always full of electrons, but most of the tube is "empty" even when the beads are moving. BTW - this demo also reinforces the misconception that the electrons are moving quickly. The average speed of electrons, even at a 20 Amp current, is much less than a mm/s.
